Life, as we all know, is full of many uncertain changes. Changes that can affect us and the ones we love in ways we can't even imagine. Such a change happened to someone close to us all. One March morning, on his bicycle commute to work, Pete Halverson was hit by a careless driver who fled the scene of the accident and left Pete laying in the road unconscious. Witnesses of the incident called 911 and Pete was taken to the hospital where he was found to have a fractured neck and back.

Due to the carelessness of the driver of the car, Pete and Anna were left with thousands of dollars in medical bills and Pete's bike was deemed unfixable. Without a doubt, many of you reading this will be able to think of a way in which Pete has changed your life for the better. As a group of Pete's close friends, we know that he has affected our life many times with his kindness and generosity. So, to give back to Pete, we are trying to raise money to help obtain a new bike for Pete and to alleviate some of the financial hardship that came into Pete's life due to this unfortunate accident. The initial goal is to replace Pete's bike, but whatever amount raised above the cost of replacing Pete's bike will be given to Pete and Anna for the use of medical bills and any other costs incurred by this tragedy. Pete and Anna do not know about this and we prefer to keep it that way, so please DO NOT tell them, as we would like this to be a surprise for them! Donations for the Pedals for Pete project can be made at any Wells Fargo Branch under the account for Pete Halverson. Deposits can be in Cash or Check (Checks preferable for tracking).
